Is it not required? Is it not available? If it seems too hard, what could be done to help you through the difficulty?
I just wonder because we have a tremendous need for foreign language speakers in business and in defense, yet colleges and universities are struggling to fill some vital programs like Arabic and Mandarin (yes, I know these languages are difficult for English speakers).
LC – tell your son to keep studying. The languages of Dari, Pashtu, Farsi, Cantonese, Mandarain, Gujarati, and Urdu are very badly needed right now.
The president of Anheuser-Busch China spoke to a class at our college last month and said he'd offer a job to anyone who had any experience in the industry and spoke Mandarin.
Tell your son he can write his own ticket if he keeps studying.
Chefengol, thank you for presenting the need for learning, as you can see by my own ignorance.
Foreign language study has been cut from the budget in elementary and middle schools here. The schools had horrible budget deficits and foreign language, art, and music programs are taking the worst hits.
I know that foreign languages are important. My three older children studied Spanish and German and two of them spent considerable time in Europe during summer breaks. My daughter speaks German and Italian and will start learning French this year. My eldest has studied Spanish, Arabic, and Russian–he's got a great aptitude for languages. I'll show him your question. It may give him some inspiration, which he needs at the moment.
Thanks for posting this.

I really want to learn Arabic or Italian. I was wondering if anyone would want because I think it would look good on my college resume when i graduate from high school. Another language will do but I really want to learn those main languages. im already in Spanish for the second year. So any language you want to submit to me i would greatly appreciate it.
Sorry,what about "ROSETTA STONE" PROGRAMS?

I am a student of the Arabic language, and none of my teachers know calligraphy. They say it is very difficult and is something you have to go to school for. So I was wondering if someone could, make word "ثعلب الماء" into the shape of an otter. Also, to say, "an otter," would it be better to use "الماء" or just "ماء"?
Arabic calligraphy is easy and any one can learn it in his house alone….send a picture of the of an otter so may be i can help you
ثعلب الماء is normaly used for the name of the animal, but the equivalent of "an otter" is ثعلب ماء

Or do the Jewish citizens get the choice to not have to learn it in school?
And is there a major language barrier between the Arabs and Jews in the country? …Or are the 2 languages similar enough in a way that makes it somewhat easy for them to understand each other even if they're not fluent in the other language?
They speak 2 languages The Devils language and Satans language
