computer and video game design courses in Spain?

does anyone know of a computer and video game design school in spain? the course can be in spanish as im looking for my boyfriend and he is fluent in spanish, valenciano and english so language is not a barrier. a school anywhere in spain will do not just valencia. thanks for any info.

I think you should try looking in the spanish universities… For example… Malaga University has a good Computer Department (Informática). I think that would be a good place to start.
The University in Valencia, and the one in Barcelona probably also have similar departments. (and his valenciano would be helpful in either one).
Then there is the UAM (Madrid), etc. (There are quite a few universities you could look up, such as Sevilla, Salamanca, Granada, Alcalá de Henares, Bilbao, etc…. most have websites, and some are in english and spanish).
I'm sure more than one would be suitable for your boyfriends purpose!

That depends on where kids go to school. In many areas of Spain, two native languages are spoken, such as the region of Spain where Barcelona is located, where kids will learn Catalan (the regional language), Spanish, and generally English.

There isn’t as much of a focus on languages in Spain as in most of Europe. Most kids just study English– and poorly at that. Any other languages are optional, rarely taught, and would probably include, French, Italian, and German.

I arrived in Spain mid-July and have been studying Spanish at a language institute. I am not really fond of the location, and have a plane ticket in December to return to the US. I am traveling around Europe for the next 3 weeks and then my schedule is completely open. I have some ideas, like working for a family, or language school, or teaching English (I am certified and I have a degree), or meeting my husband and gaining citizenship, but I am really not sure what the heck to do. For that matter, I am not sure if I am aloud to stay that long . . . but I am going to. Any advice?

Ordinary travel visa for US is good for 90 days.

If you overstay that, or take a job, then you need a working visa.

To find a family to live with, the best way I know of is to have an exchange seet up in advance.

High school studying abroad in Spain?

I have done a ton of research and I've decided that I'd like to go abroad my junior year in high school. Does anyone know of any good programs? If you've gone there what was it like settling into a new culture and language? And does anyone have ideas for fund raising?

The top three organizations (of the hundreds out there) are AFS, YFU and Rotary. Here are their websites:

All three offer full year programs. Rotary is the cheapest, but most competitive. YFU offers some nice scholarships to Japan.

You might want to look at other choices besides Spain – most of the organizations will ask for your top three choices.

As for fundraising — the obvious is a job. Otherwise, you might want to ask for some civic organizations to "sponsor" you. You promise to send them a letter or e-mail each month to be read at their meeting (don't write the same one for different organizations either — write different letters) and then give a presentation about your experience when you return. A lot of sororities, service clubs and such will offer a couple of hundred dollars each for that.

Learning Spanish in Spain/Mexico?

Im thinking about taking a gap year after I finish college before going on to university.
I would love to actually travel to a Spanish speaking country so I could actually immerse myself in the language and culture as its obviously very different to just learning in a classroom
I've studyed it at GCSE already and have continued to learn it on my own so im not a total beginner but i'd love to become fluent
Does anyone know of any good language schools in Spain or Mexico particularly in areas that are great for people learning Spanish so for example not in areas where most people speak Catalan ect

I live in Mexico and I'm studying engineering. In my point of view, Mexico is the best place to learn a good Spanish because they have a better pronunciation than people from Spain. In fact, sometimes is hard to understand what Spanish people are saying because they exaggerate with the S accent, it's called "seseo".

If you are looking for school options in Mexico there's a lot of alternatives. I study @ Tecnológico de Monterrey, this is the most important private school (high school and university) in Mexico. They have language courses of Spanish for foreign people and they have 32 campuses.
Also there's another school that could be a good option, it's a private school too, it's called Universidad de Las Américas, they have 2 campuses (Puebla and Mexico City), this school is good for things related with language.

I don't recommend you to study @ a public school. Sometimes they don't like US citizens and they could be so rude with u.

i want to study spanish in spain, but never learn that before. looking for a language school in spain which teaches foreign student from the basic language no matter what city it is.
i prefer summer course coz this year is my final year in the uni.

Going to College in Spain to learn Basque Language?

I am a senior due to graduate in may. I have a big facination with this basque language and really want to learn how to speak it. Is there any schools in the basque country to learn basque and how many are there.

I didn't think it would actually be so difficult to find the specific answer to your Q…. not many sites and not many relevant ones either…and the only one that looks right 'minority languages in Spain' doesn't seem to be working. She does not speak Spanish but I do. Any area considered , including the balaerics, except where the language is catalan (I don't speak that! )
I expect her to return to England for university so a strong academic bias is more important to me than facilities. Has anyone any suggestions? I think she will probably be too old to put in a Spanish speaking school but other people's experience greatly appreciated.
I should point out it is personal experience I am looking for, I know about the websites, but thanks for your help.

Central america, south america, spain….it doesnt matter. prefferable around 2-3 months long with complete immersion.
